All We Want this Holiday Season is a Fair Contract
Tell Rudy Fichtenbaum to Get Back to the Table
We have been approached by the federal mediator for shuttle diplomacy (where the mediator meets privately and separately with each party) to try to get to a fair resolution on telework for DC staff, our last outstanding issue. We have enthusiastically agreed and committed to attend a session with her on Thursday, December 7th, next week. Our hope is the employer spokesperson, Rudy Fichtenbaum, also agrees.Â
Although we're just one article away from a full agreement, Rudy Fichtenbaum has thus far refused to return to the table.
But there’s no need for delay, we're really close--just an article away from a full agreement. We want the contract settled by the holidays, and with the help of supporters like you, we can get it done.Â
If you’re an AAUP member or leader, please email AAUP bargaining spokesperson Rudy Fichtenbaum, and cc members of the Council; tell them it’s time to negotiate a fair telework agreement for DC staff and settle the contract before the holidays.
Thank you for all of your support!
